Competent crews
In the offshore construction industry there is an increasing demand for training and assessments on simulators. Offshore contractors only like to work with competent crew; the crew needs to have the knowledge, skills and right attitude to deal with complex vessels and/or operations and principals requiring zero incidents.
Simwave offers a Kongsberg 360 degrees’ full mission offshore simulator with an aft bridge configuration corresponding to a typical offshore tug support vessel. It is even possible to pan the 360 degree’ view from aft view to forward view if required.
All simulators are certified
Besides the full mission simulator, Simwave offers 8 Kongsberg DP Class-C desktop simulators. This configuration will allow the students to practice realistic DP operations on our desktop panels and through the graphical user interface on the monitors.
All our offshore simulators are certified by DNV-GL and the Nautical Institute.
The full mission offshore simulator is interfaced with our full mission engine room simulator based on an anchor handling/tug and supply vessel containing 4 MAK medium speed engines and 2 x controllable pitch propellers.
